The freedom to create my own opportunities

Approachable is probably the best word to describe my first impression of McCoy. The first job interview was ‘light’, with McCoyans showing genuine interest in me and my personal ambitions. Those ambitions were precisely the reason I decided to explore opportunities at this new, for me until then unknown SAP company. As an SAP IBP expert I was keen to develop myself further. I felt a bit ‘stuck in an (CI-DS) box’ and wanted to not only deepen but also broaden my experience. As from day one I felt free to express this ambition and my take on things. Hierarchical lines are simply non-existent at McCoy and that allows for a steep learning curve.   

Already during my first project, I felt free to reach out to other SAP specializations. We do not work on projects in silo’s but as a team. That makes perfect sense to me as we deliver end-to-end solutions that are all connected. I learned so many new things in a short amount of time. The only thing I needed to do for that is go after the opportunity myself. I find it refreshing to work for a company that encourages an entrepreneurial attitude. During our visit to McCoy Netherlands I noticed that this is in the core of the company DNA. McCoyans create their own opportunities, not hindered by any hierarchical structure or politics. Even the management team was approachable, fun and making a lot of jokes. 

The work-life balance is refreshing too. There is a healthy balance at McCoy, and that makes a great fit with our Philippine DNA in which fun is deeply rooted. It almost sounds too good to be true, but I can only say: plan an interview and see it for yourself. A challenging experience and fun at work make for a great combination.
