You know it if you are in the right place as a professional. I felt it instantly when I started working at McCoy & Partners. No pressure, no politics, just supportive, patient team members and a consequent steep learning curve. As a consultant I built up dedicated expertise in SAP Ariba as from 2014 onwards. After my move to McCoy I both deepened my knowledge and widened it by taking up new challenges such as SAP configurations. It felt like a bit of a leap at first, but my colleagues approached it as a team effort. There is no blaming for mistakes here, just room for improvement and support to do it better next time. I really appreciate that attitude and feel part of a team.
Consultancy can be strenuous and as much as we appreciate some hard work in Manila, it cannot be only about that. The difference between McCoy and what I was used to is huge in that respect. The management now encourages me to consider my personal life and values ‘working smart’ as opposed to working hard. Trust is at the core of McCoy’s culture and I feel unleashed by it. It motivates me to deliver the best possible results, resulting in even more trust and as such creating a positive domino effect. Have you, like me, ever wondered if you are still in the right place as an SAP expert? Know that learning and fun can go together very well, and please never settle for less.
